Some City services offline for system maintenance

14 April 2026

The City advises residents that its SAP and eServices system will be offline over the coming weekend, 18 to 20 April 2026, for necessary system maintenance. This will impact online motor vehicle renewals, municipal account enquiries, valuation objections, fault reporting and other services that run on this system. Residents are encouraged to make use of the various convenient online payment options during this time.

'The maintenance is required and is being done over the weekend to limit the impact on customers as much as possible. The work is expected to begin at 13:00 on Saturday, 18 April 2026 and will continue until 07:00 on Monday, 20 April 2026.

'The City’s Motor Vehicle Registration and Licensing (MVRL) offices at its Liberty Promenade, Lansdowne Corner and Table Bay shopping centres will be open as usual on Sunday, 19 April 2026. The City sincerely apologises for any inconvenience,' said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Finance, Councillor Siseko Mbandezi.
